“Smart Policing 2.0: Agra’s AI Commandos Lead the Way”
E-COP CELL initiative brings AI-driven efficiency to FIRs, IPC application, and cybercrime investigations.
Agra, Manvendar Malhotra – Taking a giant leap towards next-generation policing, Agra Police have embarked on a technological revolution. Under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (City), the E-COP CELL conducted a specialized AI-based ‘Prompt Engineering’ training session on Tuesday at the DCP office. The program aimed to equip police personnel with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to ensure faster, more accurate, and transparent policing.
Smarter Policing Through Prompt Engineering
During the training, officers were introduced to the effective use of advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. They learned how AI can assist in:
- Drafting FIRs and reports quickly and error-free
- Interpreting and applying IPC and BNS sections accurately
- Providing initial guidance in cybercrime investigations
- Crafting cybersecurity awareness messages
- Preparing documents in simplified and translated formats
Commissionerate’s In-house AI Tools
Officers were also trained on Agra Police’s own AI-powered apps—FAI, EBITA, and AI RAGBOT:
FAI: Simplifies FIR filing, identifies crime-related keywords, and suggests applicable IPC/BNS sections.
EBITA: Monitors case investigations in real-time, ensuring accountability and timely action.
AI RAGBOT: Summarizes all UP Police circulars in Hindi and English with instant search and direct links.
During hands-on prompt engineering sessions, officers experienced firsthand how AI tools can boost efficiency. At the end of the program, participants were honored with the title of ‘AI Commandos’ and given a one-year premium subscription of Perplexity AI to integrate AI into their daily duties.
Officers were strictly instructed not to share any confidential departmental data with AI models.
