Students from 22 Schools Showcase Their Oratory Skills at APSA’s English Elocution Senior Competition

AGRA: Young speakers showcased their talent, confidence, and command of the English language at the English Elocution Senior Competition held at St. Francis Convent School, Wazirpura Road, Agra, under the aegis of the Association of Progressive Schools of Agra (APSA). A total of 22 schools registered for the competition, bringing together talented students on a common platform.

The competition centred on speeches by famous leaders, giving participants an opportunity to demonstrate their public-speaking abilities, stage presence, and power of expression. The students impressed the audience with their enthusiasm and efforts to deliver impactful speeches.

The event aimed to encourage effective communication, develop confidence, and nurture literary interests among students. Such competitions provide young learners with valuable opportunities to overcome stage hesitation, articulate their thoughts clearly, and learn through healthy competition.

Adding a cultural touch to the event, a student also delivered a dance performance, bringing variety to the programme and showcasing talent beyond public speaking. The performance complemented the literary theme of the competition with an artistic presentation.
